Skirmz fits an organizer who wants players to register, find their next opponent and report a result within one competition flow. Its tournament teams and bracket give an event a record beyond a series of messages saying who plays next.

Pick an elimination format

Single elimination is useful when time is short: one loss ends a team's run. Double elimination gives a team another path after its first loss and can require a grand final reset. Choose based on the time and moderator coverage you actually have.

Skirmz handles byes when a field does not fill the bracket. Organizers still need to explain start times, attendance rules and how players should contact them. A bracket with many teams is not evidence that all of those players are ready at the same time.

Connect registration to play

Each event has its own team rosters. Registration closes and accepted teams lock when the event starts; incomplete teams are left out. Matches use check-in, configured pre-match votes and player result reporting, with moderator review for disputes.

This reduces the need to manually relay every matchup, but it does not remove organizer responsibility. Someone should be available for no-shows, connection problems and disputed outcomes.

Keep the event with its community

A community tournament can live alongside the group's members, announcements and match history. That helps a returning player find the next event without confusing community membership with a roster slot.

Skirmz does not host the actual game server, collect entry fees or provide prize-pool, donation or sponsorship features. Plan the event around the competition tools that exist. Create a tournament walks through the decisions to make before you invite teams.
