How do I create a tournament on Skirmz?
Choose a game, team size, elimination format, access and schedule, then prepare registration and moderator coverage before play.
Before creating an event, decide what people will play, how many players each team needs and when you can be present to run it. A saved tournament still needs participants and an organizer.
Choose the competition
Open the tournament creation control and give the event a recognizable name. Select an available game and mode, then set the number of players per team. Tournament team size is its own setting; do not assume it must be one of that game's ladder queue sizes.
Choose single elimination for a shorter event or double elimination for a second path after a first loss. Double elimination can need a second grand final, so allow time for it. See Tournament formats.
Set access and timing
Choose public or private access. For a private tournament, share the appropriate join information with the people you intend to invite. Set a start time and registration cutoff when needed, checking the displayed dates and times before saving.
Remember that the match check-in window confirms who is actually ready to play, so players need to be online when their match is due. Publish the schedule in your community too rather than relying on any single notification.
Explain the rules
Include the in-game lobby procedure, attendance policy, result-reporting expectations and moderator contact. Skirmz does not host the game server. Keep those instructions specific enough that two matched teams can begin without waiting for you to answer routine questions.
Review registration before starting
Share the event, have players register their tournament teams, and check roster completeness. The first start locks accepted teams and seeding, closes registration and excludes incomplete teams. Do not start merely to preview the final bracket if you still need people to join.
During play, watch the event state and resolve issues through the available organizer controls. Creating a tournament is not a promise that the whole event will run unattended at its scheduled time.
