How do parties and private chat help players on Skirmz?
Coordinate a temporary party, message friends, and distinguish party, match and member-only community conversations.
Parties and chat help players coordinate around a match. The useful distinction is who is in the group and which conversation they can access.
A party for the current session
Invite friends, wait for acceptance and check the roster before entering a queue. The party identifies its leader and gives that leader controls to promote another member or remove someone. Players can leave the group themselves.
The group still needs to fit the queue's team size and party limit. A party is not a tournament entry: tournament teams maintain a separate roster for the event. The party guide covers those steps.
Choose the right conversation
Direct messages are for the participants in that conversation. Party chat is for coordinating with your group. Match conversations concern the participants in the current match. Community chat requires community membership; a visitor reading a public community page does not gain access to it.
Keep event rules and schedules in the community's appropriate announcement or event surface so members do not need an old private conversation to discover them. Use the relevant group conversation for lobby details or immediate coordination.
Privacy and moderation expectations
These conversations are not public guide content and are not published by this content system. Access limits do not imply end-to-end encryption or immunity from moderation. Share only what the people in that conversation need, and keep passwords and account recovery codes out of chat.
For a disputed result, use the match's review action while available. A message in party or community chat does not itself submit that dispute; see How a match works.
