How do I join a matchmaking queue on Skirmz?

Select a game, mode and team size, enter or leave a Skirmz queue, and prepare for the match check-in when opponents are found.

The queue finds players for a particular game configuration. Choose the configuration you actually intend to play before entering: players waiting for another mode or team size are not necessarily waiting in your queue.

Select your match

Sign in, open Play or the community's queue, and choose a game, mode and team size from the available choices. Community queues use the games configured for that community. If you cannot find an option, ask the organizer whether that configuration is available rather than assuming every listed game has an active queue.

Use the Play or Join Queue control for the selected configuration. The interface changes to a searching or queued state. Stay available for check-in; queuing is a request to play soon, not a reservation for a later evening.

Playing as a party

Check the roster first. A party cannot exceed the selected team size or the queue's configured party limit. If the interface says your party is too large, choose a supported larger configuration or change the party before trying again. See Playing with friends.

Waiting and leaving

Use Leave Queue when you are no longer ready. Waiting time depends on other eligible players being available; joining a queue does not guarantee an immediate opponent. If the connection or queue state is unclear, allow the interface to refresh and read any error before sending another request.

When a match is found

Respond to the match check-in while its timer is running. The match room handles any configured pre-match votes, then you play in the game itself and report the outcome in Skirmz. Skirmz does not launch or host the game server. The match guide explains the remaining steps and what happens if check-in fails.
