How do I read Skirmz leaderboards and seasons?
Choose the right game, community and season, compare ratings and records, and understand why two leaderboard views may differ.
A leaderboard is meaningful only with its context: which game, which community and which season you are viewing. Two players comparing different views may see different ratings without either view being wrong.
Choose the board
Open Leaderboards and select a game. Inside a community, the available games and standings belong to that community. Use the available season tabs to switch between the overall view and a named season. If there are no season tabs, the view has no named seasons to select.
Before comparing a number with a friend, agree on those same selections. Community ratings and an overall game rating are separate contexts; a rank in one is not a universal position across Skirmz.
Understand the columns
Rating represents the player's Elo-style standing. Matches counts wins and losses in the returned record. Record shows those wins and losses; sorting that column uses win rate. A player with a high win percentage over a small record is not necessarily above a player with a higher rating.
Changing a sort changes how rows are displayed. It does not recalculate anyone's rating. Use pagination to see more of the board rather than assuming the first visible page contains every player.
After a match
The match summary shows an estimate, while Skirmz attempts to save the actual result and ratings when the summary opens. Cleanup retries if needed. Check the completed match and the selected board before reporting a missing update; the displayed estimate is not the saved leaderboard record.
For a problem report, include the match identifier, player, selected game, community and season. That makes the discrepancy reproducible. Ratings explained describes why the change is not a fixed number per win.
